C
CASING
The casing is both functional and decorative. First, the casing covers the gap between the door or window jamb and the drywall. Second, the casing is one of the key mouldings which define the character of any room.
CHAIR RAIL
A chair rail’s practical function is to protect the wall from the back of dining chairs. It is usually installed between 32 and 36 inches above the floor. The chair rail is used either as a stand alone feature or as part of a wall panelling treatment.
COMPOSITE MOULDING
Composite moulding is a combination of wood moulding and a wood pulp material. The pulp material is applied to a solid wood moulding. It creates an intricate design with the appearance of hand-carved wood at a fraction of the cost. Composite moulding will accept stain and paint, as well as gold leafing and faux finishing. A further advantage of composite moulding is that multiple patterns can be combined for a custom look. Ideal for millwork and design professionals, composite moulding is available in long lengths and is easily installed with conventional woodworking tools.
CORK FLOORING
Cork is natural, pleasing to the eye, easy to care for, quiet, soft and warm to the touch, yet durable enough to handle the punishing traffic of active lifestyles. Its versatility makes cork suitable for the bedroom, storeroom, living room, office, kitchen and especially children’s playroom.
COVE MOULDING
Cove moulding is a versatile moulding most commonly used with wall panelling on the inside of a corner.
CROWN
A crown moulding is the transition from wall to ceiling. It is a dramatic accent that can set the theme for any detailing project. |
